So after posting that yesterday, I decided there wasn't enough of the shock factor to keep a blog about that stuff, so intermittently that will post, but the rest of it goes back to normal stuff.
For today, the trip to Walmart...with three kids in tow.
I love my children dearly, but there is a reason I don't like to take them grocery shopping with me. Usually they stay at home with daddy, but today daddy is gone to another state, doing the GI Joe thing. Yes I am an Army spouse. :-) So with the kids trailing along, we walk into one of the 7 local walmarts of our fair city! This is starting off badly because the entrance to this Walmart has two lanes...no one pays attention at the light that in 100 feet the right lane HAS TO GO RIGHT, and the left lane can go straight. So they cut you off rudely almost hitting my truck I might have to do bodily harm if they hit my car! I love my car! Best ever! So we go inside and I need just a few things, but we have to walk through several other aisles to get to what I need. The kids also want to spend their Christmas money they were said to be saving! After 20 minutes looking at DS games, and telling them to get up off the floor repeatedly, they finally pick one... well three! Now for milk and lunchables. That was all I needed and some new kitchen washcloths. We ended up with Lindor truffles, ghiradelli choc chips for cookies, funjuns chips, and hawaiian punch and mozzarella cheese sticks. I managed to say no to the peach gummies, gummy worms, and chocolate bars, the babybel cheese rounds, the candles the girls thought they needed in their room, the haircolor that our 9 and 7 year olds thought they needed. It's all good, they just like junk food and hair color apparently. We don't keep alot in the house so its like overload when they see an entire aisle dedicated to sugar!
Oh and about the truffles, if you like chocolate, Lindor has some AMAZING truffles. I'm a milk chocolate girl, but their dark and white chocolate ones are pretty good too.
Well, off to do the dishes again...which is more coste effective, dishwasher detergent or paper plates?
